Another Cracking Morning With Visibility!!!

It was still cloudy towards the Fornet this morning so we all headed towards the better visibility in Tignes.

After a lovely few turns off the Verte Thomas, Jerome and I took our teams for a stunning trip through the trees in the Lavachet. We needed to ‘skin’ out but it was a small price to pay for some fantastic skiing. (Chris and Andreas had gone Borsat and Chardonnet way and had great skiing as well.)  Next up was a terrific Sache followed by an excellent Familial to finish off another great morning.

I’m finding that we are finishing much later these days. Without the pressure of time-keeping due to having an afternoon session we can give the morning clients that little bit extra. I seem to get home closer to 2 o’clock than I do 1 o’clock and being able to finish off in style instead of rushing down on the piste makes a massive difference. (I got down at 1:30 today but Jerome was a good 20 minutes behind me. Bravo Jerome!) All of the boys are happy to do what it takes to maximise the morning sessions.

There were a couple of avalanches today up at the Fornet in the Grand Vallon. One slide buried skiers but fortunately they were safely dug out alive and uninjured.

My golfing pal Charles arrived yesterday afternoon and is staying next door in Chez Ray. He’s warming up before the rest of his party arrive next Sunday with YSE. We started off the festivities with a cracking evening last night with Karen, Uffe and Tchenko, and he’s skiing with Suzanne today. I’ve a few more days to show Charles a great time before handing him over to his friends next Sunday!

Sun is forecast for the next few days so it will be ‘walkies’ time imminently. Stay tuned!
