We had a brilliant weekend starting with Katie’s ‘Get-Together’ on Saturday night. She’s made some really good new friends over the summer and invited them over for some trampolining and a BBQ. I cooked for them before turning the BBQ into a fire-pit so that they could sit around the fire and stay warm. They had a great time and it was nice to meet her new friends.
Sunday was my 65th birthday (I can’t quite believe it!) and I played in a Mixed-Pairs Stableford with Millie. We scored 40 points and came 5th or 6th out of 32 teams so we were pretty pleased with ourselves. Millie then cooked us a birthday-supper and it was a great way to spend the day. (Gill played tennis a couple of times over the weekend while Katie kept up her socialising!)
I played golf again this morning while the girls had school and Gill played tennis. And this afternoon Millie passed her Driving Theory Test, which is a relief and nice to get out of the way. She can now try to book a driving test but the earliest will be at least 6-weeks away. She is desperate to be able to drive to college so that she doesn’t need to rely on the bus system, which is really quite poor.
