A Couple Of Breaks!!!

After scratching around in the dark the past few days we enjoyed a couple of breaks in the cloud cover. The first run of the morning was a teaser. We had good visibility with great snow and it felt like it was clearing. (sadly I lost 4 of 6 at the top of the Olympique and most of them missed it) After regrouping, instead of clearing it was back into the fog.

It was in-and-out most of the morning, but when it was in you couldn’t see a thing. There is flat-light and flat-light, but fog is another story all together.

We did have a terrific run off the Motte when we were above the clouds, and it was savoured to the last drop! Fortunately on the way out we had just enough vis to comfortable navigate once back into the cloud.

I made a boob at the end of the morning trying for some ‘bonus’ turns. I was too far left of where I thought I was and ended up at the bottom of a huge hole. It took me ages to climb back up and I didn’t get home until 1:45!

Tchenko had an accident yesterday. His ski came off and he landed on the edge with his thigh. He knew he’d hurt it but continued on skiing and had lunch. Turns out he needed to go to the hospital in Bourg. There he received 6 stitches inside his leg and another 12 to close the wound. And Tchenko was back on his skis this morning! (Nothing gets in the way of Tchenko’s lunch!)

Don’t forget the gig tonight at the Danois. Karen and Andreas will be kicking off about 5:30. See you there!

Pietro has left and I’m now starting my tidying up routine for the gir (ls arrival. Wish me luck and stay tuned!

PS Bloody BA has just cancelled the girls flight for Monday!!! I can’t believe it!!!
