The sun was shining again and after yesterday’s frenzy it was time to go for a walk. I had an Australian father-and-son, Gerard and James who had never ‘skinned’ before join the team and what an introduction! Chris and I did a ‘double-skin’ and both stages produced fantastic snow, great scenery and lovely ambience. (See photos) TJ and Andreas were also ‘skinning’ this morning and Thomas’ team didn’t have ‘skins’ so he headed towards Tignes and I have a pretty good idea of what he got up to! It was a wonderful day enjoyed by all and we’ll savour it as a cloudy day is forecast for tomorrow.
Thanks to Sandy for a fantastic curry last night and I’m looking forward to Doug’s tonight. I’m off to Bourg for a shop as the cupboard is bare! Stay tuned!
PS Don’t forget the Pigs tomorrow night and Andreas and Karen on Friday at the Danois!
PPS There was a couple of avalanches yesterday with a helicopter flying about and I believe one skier suffered some broken ribs.
PPPS Jean Marc is in Grimentz with Pietro and they’re having pretty good conditions. I think they are skiing with Sylvie and Richard? JM sent me a lovely photo of Pietro which I’ll try to post.
