Another Cracking Day!!!

We had another cracking day and although the avalanche risk remains high the snow-pack is starting to stabilise. JM, Andreas, Chris and I started off with a great run down the Arcelle before pushing out. (Thomas is with the Ski Club and starting in Tignes) From there we skied a super Super L and made our way up to the Fornet. We lucked out as they opened the Pyramid for the first time this season and we profited with four excellent runs. The light was just good enough to make the most of the fantastic conditions and was much appreciated. We finished off the morning with a little play through the trees in wonderful snow to the bottom.

I managed a few pictures today which helps spruce up the blog. I fired quite a few blanks as I can’t see what’s in or out of frame at times. When we ski a steep pitch and I’m at the bottom and need the zoom it’s really hit or miss. All I can see is my smiley face reflected off the screen and don’t have a clue what I’m snapping. Still, did manage some decent shots.

Last night’s gig was another outstanding evening and Karen and Andreas continue to improve together. Andreas has worked really hard on his looping and it’s really come together. It adds a real richness to their sound and I sometimes think that the looping isn’t appreciated by the public as much as it should be. (I know Karen thoroughly appreciates what the looping does for their overall sound) And Andreas ‘s guitar work has improved dramatically. His confidence is growing and he’s adding more and longer licks into the songs. Bravo Andreas! And Karen is Karen and always puts on a great show. (I still think she’s improving as well)

Andreas stayed in town last night due to the storm and came to my place this morning for breakfast. He’s heard about my bacon and egg routine and wanted to try it out. I must say it’s a great way to start the day, especially when it’s cold and grey!

Hopefully the sun will come out tomorrow and it’s forecast to be clear Monday and Tuesday. Stay tuned!

PS I bet David B and the rest of you Formula 1 fans are excited for tomorrow’s massive showdown?
