Back From Canada!!!

Millie, Katie and I have returned from a fantastic 10-day trip to Canada. We stayed with my brother Denny and his wife Marilyn and had a brilliant time with them. They have ten acres with a stunning 180-degree view of the Rockies with some wonderful sunsets and the girls had a great time playing with their dogs and new puppy. We spent a lot of time with my Mum who has moved into a lovely new care home, which resembles a really nice hotel with a pool and a gym. We played golf in Madden and Millie played in Banff as well with Penny the day after a stunning walk on Mount Cascade. We visited Mike and Elizabeth and had our annual trip to the Wild Rose Brewery to see Tom Parks and George Quinn who go all the way back to my baseball-days when I was ten-years old! The gravity-fed downhill go-kart track at the Olympic Park was so much fun as we did some serious racing with five races and the over-taking manoeuvres were pretty impressive at times. The over-taking manoeuvre-of-the-day went to my brother who passed both Katie and I on a tight corner when we were held up in traffic. I yelled “you f*****r” at him as he flew passed but I had to admire his driving as it was quite breath-taking.  It was an excellent trip with some serious shopping as we had some great sales, which needed to be taken advantage of and shopping is always more fun when you actually buy something! The photos are posted and pretty much tell the story, although I missed a photo of George. Sorry George!

Keep those bookings rolling in and stay tuned!

PS Unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to visit Doug and Jane in Clearwater, along with Andy and Suzie, but hopefully next year! And Derek has gone off the cycle from Lands End to John O’Groats, which is approximately 1000 miles. Yikes, he’s going to be dangerous when he gets fit!
