Back To Winter!!!

Wow! What an outstanding morning that was. Maximum turns in lovely deep, light, winter snow. (See photos) It was wonderful to be back to winter after all the unseasonably warm weather of late.

We were lucky today as the visibility was much better than forecast. I was extremely lucky twice to have had sunshine just when I need it most. (I feel like I deserved it after my trails and tribulations of yesterday!)

Everyone had a brilliant ski and it looks as if we’ll get snow on-and-off all week. The wind wasn’t a factor today and the lifts opened fairly quickly getting us to where we wanted to go. But it is forecast to get up this afternoon and during the night so fingers crossed that the wind doesn’t ruin the snow or limit or options for tomorrow.

If you like electric guitar and drumming Ed and Jamie will be playing the Danois tonight. They usually kick off between 5:30 and 5:45 and always put on a good show. They are loud so be warned!

We are having trouble with the blog site and it comes up as February 11, 2022. If you’re reading this you’ve obviously avoided the problem! If you go direct to the blog it doesn’t seem to work but if you go to the Home Page first and then the blog it seems to work. Chris is on the case.

Stay tuned!

PS I’d like to mention Terry and Jenny for great performances this morning. Terry is fairly new to the ‘Alpine’ way of skiing and he seemed to hit another level today. And Jenny skied beautifully on her first off-piste outing in six years!

PPS I ran into Kit who was skiing with Thomas this morning. He said, ” Good day to be a ski guide. Mind you, it was a good day to be a customer!” That made me smile!
