For a wet, horrible day I thought this morning was brilliant. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and my team of Robert, Caroline, Johnnie Alpine and Gill performed admirably. Everybody skied really well and were quite pleased with themselves. By 11 o’clock we were soaked (and the snow was getting heavier) so we happily called it a morning.
Part of my joy came from knowing that I’m much more stable in my new boots. I’ve stupidly been persevering in sloppy, worn-out boots for too long. My new boots are much sturdier as well and I know I’m going to be happy in them.
Andreas had a great morning as well and stopped around 11, while that old pro Henry was still at it when we’d finished. Bravo Henry!
Don’t forget Karen and Andreas are playing at the Danois tonight. It promises to be a fantastic gig and we’ll have a big ‘Alpine’ presence tonight. See you there.
And thanks for the Chevallot tart last night Ray!
