With the 100th anniversary of the end of WW1 looming I’m taking the family to the Brookwood Military Cemetery in Pirbright. If you live in the surrounding area and have never been Brookwood is an incredibly impressive place, especially at this time of year with the changing colours and it is on par with any similar war memorials that I’ve seen in France or Belgium.
My Dad used to visit Brookwood every autumn when the girls were small so we thought that we’d visit again this year for the first time since my Dad died on November 11th, 2013. Brookwood is a very emotional place and very fitting for an emotional weekend coming up. (I’ve added some photos of our last trip but they’ve sunk to the very bottom of the photo collection!)
And by the way, the early-season snow cover looks very good! Check out the Val d’Isere webcams.
