Winter must be approaching as I booked my crossing on the Channel Tunnel this afternoon thinking I’d get in early before all the Brexit rubbish kicks in. It seems to be slightly cheaper than last year but I have booked earlier.
I’m playing loads of golf at the moment and really enjoying it as I’ve had a pretty good patch lately. Millie has quite a few competitions coming up in October including the Captains Drive-In on the 20th, which will be fun as we will be on a team together. Millie will be the Junior Captain this year so she’ll need to tee-off in front of a couple of hundred people so fingers crossed on that one! (She had to do it a couple of years ago when she was Girls Captain and it’s quite a nerve-wracking experience) I’m playing with Richard and Deborah Finlay, and Dave Downing next Monday as we’ve finally organised our annual golf day together, and I’m really looking forward to that.
I saw Chris and Suzanne last Saturday as it was the Memorial Service for Suzanne’s father Dick, who past away earlier in the summer. It was great to see them along with Suzanne’s lovely mother Heidi, Ray, Joy and Al and Bridgette and her husband Mark. It was a lovely service and Suzanne’s brother Stephen’s eulogy was excellent.
Henry is doing his annual tour of the UK with his HAT avalanche talks and beeper training courses. Log-on to Henry’s site for more details of when and where.
Keep those booking rolling in and stay tuned for more frequent updates as the new season approaches!
