Like probably just about everyone in Europe (counting the UK ha ha!) we enjoyed another day of stunning weather.
After breakfast in the sun on the terrace we headed down the valley for one of our favourite walks. We started at the Villaret des Brevieres and walked through the meadows with the stunning views. The glaciers hanging above la Savinaz and la Gurraz on the opposite side of the valley make an impressive backdrop. (see photos)
Afterwards we drove down to Bourg for some serious shopping. The girls love the Super U and I bought a new pair of Salomon walking trainers from Intersport. Gill couldn’t believe the state of my old pair! I wore my new shoes out of the store and we promptly binned my old ones just outside the front door.
Millie and Katie made a fantastic meal tonight while Gill and I caught up with Jane, Jumbo and Doctor Mike. We met up at the Hibou and enjoyed a few drinks in the glorious late-afternoon sun. Val d’Isere in the summer isn’t too hard to take!
Stay tuned for new of Day 3 tomorrow!
