Photos and Day 5 report to follow.
Karen is playing at the Salon starting a 6 o’clock. If you’re in town I’ll see you there!
Photos are up. What a day!
After a leisurely breakfast in the sun we headed to the Refuge des Fours. But, we took the non-touristic route, which I learnt from Min about thirty years ago. It’s a route full of scrambling, water-crossings and stunning scenery. (See photos) It is one of my favourite walks and I always think of the legendary Min en-route!
I came home afterwards a little weary to download photos and start the blog. Meanwhile the girls hung out at the pool at the Altitude to work on their tans and cool down a little. (That’s a bit contradictory!)
Gill accompanied me to the Salon des Fous for Karen’s gig, which was fantastic as usual. She was playing with Patrick from the Baraque and it was a great couple of hours with seriously classy musicians .
We had a table in the sun and ended up with a real cast of characters. (Speaking of legends we had a table full!) Mac showed up first, followed by Marie Barra. Then Marty arrived followed by Marie Christine LaCroix and Crystal from the Crozet. Each person has their own story and I could write a blog on each and every one of them. It was a great apero with brilliant music in the evening sunshine!
Stay tuned and Karen is playing again tomorrow!
