It was certainly deeper than expected this morning and for a flat-light day we enjoyed pretty decent visibility, and that added up to a great morning of skiing with very few people. Millie and Katie joined Michael, Penny and I it was lovely to have the girls along. (Unfortunately Gill had a migraine and couldn’t join us but fingers crossed that she’ll be back tomorrow!) Henry was in action today and it was nice to see him at the Gourmandine this morning, and Andreas and Jean Marc were also skiing today while Chris was on Community Service duty on the World Cup Course and Thomas had a the day off. We all headed towards Tignes in search of ‘low-hanging-fruit’ but with the resort being empty we didn’t need to look too hard to find great untracked snow. (see photos) Andreas had some new clients today, Tom and Stephanie, who are on their honeymoon and staying at the new hotel on the Tete du Solaise, and they had a brilliant morning and say the new hotel is quite stunning.
Thanks to Karen and Andreas, along with the team at the Danois for a great evening last night. We had a really solid ‘Alpine’ turnout and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves as the music and ambience was brilliant. (It was great to see Ellie and Matt who are here for the weekend visiting their daughter Jess while Matt covers the World Cup) Next week the gig will kick-off at 5 o’clock to accommodate those who need to leave before 7:30 for chalet meals and drinks but I’ll remind everyone closer to the time.
At least one metre of snow is expected over the next 36-hours so stay tuned!
