Derek and Marcella are having a brilliant time in Canada. They’ve flown over to California for Heather’s graduation from Stanford and have taken the opportunity to do some serious exploring beforehand. They’ve enjoyed a jaw-dropping drive up the coast of Oregon to Portland before flying to Vancouver to start the Canadian leg of their trip. They drove from Vancouver to Clearwater to see my old school friend Doug and his wife Jane and to raft the famous Clearwater river with Doug’s rafting outfit. Then they drove to Jasper where Derek did a 168 kilometre bike ride in the park (ouch, I bet he has a sore ass!) before taking on the spectacular drive from Jasper to Banff. They are now in Banff for a couple of days enjoying themselves in my neck of the woods. It’s brilliant having them visit my part of the world and they are thoroughly enjoying the scenery and Canadian hospitality. Derek sent me some photos but I’m having trouble logging into my google account as they seem to be doing some sort of update but I’ll post the photos as soon as I get it sorted. In the meantime, Oh Canada!!!
