After some email issues our regular address should be working again. Please let us know if your emails bounce back so that we can sort it immediately.

Opening day is looming and I’ve five more nights with the family before heading off at 3:30am next Thursday. The snow cover looks good for this time of year above 2500 metres but there is still no sign of man-made snow on the lower slopes. I’m not a huge fan of the artificial stuff but it’s certainly better than no snow and a few strips of fake snow to the bottom would be greatly appreciated and really spruce up the opening weekend. Fingers crossed for some cold nights so that they can fire up the snow cannons and perhaps create the link with Tignes?

Jean Sports is now gearing up for the winter and they will be adding Black Crow skis to their excellent line-up of off-piste equipment. I’m thinking of trying a pair or maybe getting some of the Salomon 88’s for tougher days when my 84-under-foot skis become hard work. Skiing every day of the season takes its toll so I might give myself a bit of a break on those difficult days with flat-light and thick snow. Stay tuned now for more news on a regular basis!
