The forecast wasn’t brilliant for today but when I looked outside first thing it was quite bright and I thought we were in for a pretty good day vision-wise and started to think adventurously. Unfortunately by the time we arrived on the Pisaillas a cloud bank was rising rapidly from below and our options became pretty limited. We did manage a nice run out wide in the Pays Desert with enough light to navigate but shortly after ‘skinning’ out the cloud thickened and we were left in a near white-out so we skied a couple of runs on-piste to finish the morning. It might of been the first flat-light day of the season but we all know it certainly won’t be the last!
About 5cm’s of snow fell last night and another 10cm’s are forecast this afternoon, and as I write at 14:20 it’s overcast with some light snow falling. Fingers crossed that it continues! Stay tuned!
