It was another cracking good morning in tough conditions. With 1% of our options available I’m gobsmacked with how good that 1% can be. I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the skiing and I think everyone else has as well.
Jean Marc leaves for Switzerland this afternoon and it’s been fantastic having him here this week. It’s been great having his experience to draw on during this period of high-pressure and limited options. JM came up with a couple of suggestions of new-to-me itineraries. These options gave Chris and I some brilliant skiing which helped make our week. Thanks Jean Marc!
JM also had some good discussions with the shop about touring gear. Apparently because of eco-factors the glue used for ‘skins’ isn’t as reliable as the chemical-filled glue of old. Jean Marc had some suggestions about the best glue available, which the shop took onboard. JM was also very impressed with the servicing on his skis and Remy’s touring knowledge.
And it’s Friday night at the Danois and as usual I’m really looking forward to it. Karen and Andreas will be playing at 5:15-ish but you need to get there for 5 o’clock to secure your seat. We’ve a big ‘Alpine’ presence tonight so it should be a great apres-ski!
