After a cracking day in Tignes yesterday Thomas and I headed to the Fornet for a change of scenery, along with Chris and his team. There wasn’t too much presenting itself so we headed straight over the Col Pers, which for the most part was pretty jolly good. We exited via the atmospheric Funky Route, which was a good move because the traditional Grand Torsai looked absolutely dreadful. The Vallonnet looked poor and the Grand Vallon didn’t look much better so Thomas and I changed sector and skied the Table de Orientation off Bellevarde, which had lovely ambience along with cold winter snow so it was a good result. Chris finished up with a good run in the Parc au Moutons so everyone had a really good morning in limited conditions while we hopefully wait for snow tonight. Fingers crossed!
What a day of sport yesterday. I couldn’t believe the Hammers coming back from 3-1 down with 15-minutes on the clock to win 4-3 and that topped off my day beautifully with dinner at the Chardons with Ian, Harry and Diana still to come! (Thanks boys!) Of course all the Welsh were flying their flag enjoying their Grand Slam win and the Scots were seriously depressed at half-time before mounting one of the most amazing comebacks you’ll ever see in rugby, followed by the English saving themselves at the death. Cracking stuff!
Stay tuned for more news tomorrow!
PS And a big hello to Morgan who reads the diary daily. Thanks Morgan!
