After a tricky day wind and vision-wise yesterday the sun made a welcome return and we all headed towards the best snow in Tignes. All the boys skied variations of what was on offer and it was a cracking good morning with a lovely mix ranging from creamy compressed snow to perfect powder.
The risk was 4/5 today but that didn’t stop people going here, there, and everywhere but as far as I know there weren’t any avalanches. The low hanging fruit has definitely been trashed as well as some rather adventurous sectors and after one day it’s probably ‘walkies time’ already. With the extremely high winds there are still lots of slopes that aren’t really in play, which limits our options but it’s been great to have some new snow to work with.
A another sunny day is forecast for tomorrow so stay tuned!
