What a fantastic 3-2 win for the Hammers the other night against Chelsea! Just when I thought they were dead and buried they came up with a fabulous performance and a priceless three-points. With the confidence gained from the victory hopefully we can kick on and win a couple or more on the trot. It was such a relief to pick up three unexpected points but there is still a long way to go. Come on boys!!!
After a tough loss it was nice to hear from Jerry who is a Chelsea fan. Jerry also follows Southampton so he knows how relegation battles feel and he texted to congratulate me as he knows the relief I was feeling. I also had quite a few messages from United fans who were definitely West Ham fans on the night. Besides a great relegation scrape there is still a lot to play for at the top of the table. And after City’s win over Liverpool last night I wouldn’t bet against them in the Champions League.
It’s business as usual here with Gill back to work although it’s still very limited and with PPE. I’m still busy with my on-line Pilates while the girls are doing their best with their studies. And of course Millie and I are playing loads of golf!
Our trip to Croatia was unfortunately cancelled this morning and our Canadian trip is also in jeopardy. I’m not too sure what is going to happen with our holidays?-but we have a couple of options. It was suppose to be Gill’s Dad Fred’s 80th birthday celebrations so they’re searching around England for a nice place for a family vacation. If that doesn’t come off we’ll be jumping in the car and heading to Val d’Isere, which is always a fantastic option!
Stay tuned and enjoy your summer!
(I’ve posted a couple of photos of the girls.)
PS Keep those bookings coming in.
PPS I ran into Matthew Sydney at the golf course the other day. I haven’t seen Matthew in years and it was such a surprise to see him on the 18th. He’s a great guy and hopefully he’ll be able to get out skiing again next winter.
