It’s Just About ‘Showtime’!!!

It’s ‘showtime’ on Saturday as the resort will finally open. The Piste Service has been working extremely hard making snow and then turning the massive mounds of snow into perfectly groomed runs. There will be some powder turns at altitude but the piste skiing lower down should be fantastic. When the snow is thin up high it’s always nice to have the option of superb piste skiing.

Michael and I had another nice outing again this morning. You never really know what you’re going to get as the piste-bashers are hard at work. Some mornings the way down is perfectly groomed but sometimes they leave a chopped-up mess behind. And you’re never too sure about the snow around the snow-cannons. Some patches are perfect, some are sticky, and some are icy. It has certainly kept us on our toes.

Today’s photos are off my new (used) camera. I was pretty pleased, but it will be interesting to see how it deals with action shots when zoomed in?

As for yesterday’s footie, the Argentinians certainly showed up and look like real contenders. And what a great win in vain for Tunisia.

Today Canada plays their last match and after a poor start the Germans have a chance to save themselves. I’m going to miss it when it’s over, although I’ll have my social life back!

Stay tuned!
