Lovely Walk, Great Skiing!!!

It really has been an outstanding 5 or 6 days of high-quality snow and although the wind got up last night the snow was still excellent today. Chris and I ‘skinned’ to the Crete du Genepy and although the first pitch was a little wind compressed the rest was brilliant. I finished off with some funky lines off the Borsat and it was another jolly good day!

Andreas was in the neighbourhood this morning while JM and Oli were off touring for the day and I’m not too sure where they ended up. It was Pietro’s last day of a wonderful 10-day stay and he left this afternoon to return to his family in Italy with a huge smile on his face.

I’m not in ‘code-mode’ today because we are expecting 20 or more centimetres of fresh snow tonight and we should have a fresh canvas to work with in the morning.

Gill and the girls arrive on Wednesday and I’m really looking forward to seeing them. As you can imagine I need to start getting things sorted but I do have several days still and I don’t want to peak too early!

We had a great evening last night as JM, Oli, Thomas, Chris, Pietro, Andreas and I all had a meeting followed by dinner, red wine and music. It’s always a pleasure to have the boys over when we’re all here and last night was a pretty good turn-out with only TJ missing.

I’m off to Johnnie Alpine’s tonight to watch the Hammers play Fulham and a 4th win-in-a-row for West Ham would top off a fantastic day. Come on boys! Stay tuned!

PS Millie has a Christmas Junior Golf Dinner tonight and awards and Gill and Katie are going along. Good luck Mils! And I just ran into Michael Rosen and John and Margaret should be arriving today as well.
