Wow! What a morning of ‘gravity-fed’ non-stop skiing. With -8C in the village and colder temperatures at altitude the snow was cold and light. And after a coup;e of flat-light days the sun was shining again!
My team started with a nice run off the Verte and one off Bonnevies’ Drag while waiting for the Borsat. We then skied the Lower Borsat and meadows into Tignes in great snow with Henry. Then we headed up the Motte for an excellent run on the Cairn.
I headed back up the Motte to ski Wayne’s Shoulder, which was at it’s magnificent best. (see photos) We ended up skiing variations three times before finishing a wonderful morning with the Familial.
Meanwhile Thomas, and Henry skied the ‘Wall’ into the Combe des Lanches before skiing the Balme. Chris was in the neighbourhood with Sam’s family and they had a great morning. Andreas enjoyed a family ski and Ness and Victor invited a couple of friends along with them.
Unfortunately my camera acted up this morning and many of my photos were bleached out. I managed to just about save a few of them so please excuse the lack of quality on some.
Katie and I are looking forward to the Man City v Liverpool match at Johnnie Alpine’s this afternoon. Come on Liverpool! And the Hammers have a big game with Brentford first!
