Merry But Tough!!!

Man, that was the toughest Christmas ski that I can remember for a long time! Expectations were high but the wind last night worked the snow on almost every exposure and it was a difficult morning but I think everyone rallied and enjoyed themselves. Ten days ago when we had a similar weather pattern with brutal winds we were lucky and had a week of very good skiing after the storm but we weren’t so lucky this time around. I was proud of my team who dealt with the conditions admirably, and I think all the other ‘Alpine’ teams did the business as well. Bravo to everyone who participated today and after five days of seriously flat light everyone enjoyed the sunshine and the challenge that the mountain posed today.

We had a great lunch at La Peau de Vache with Viv, Wils and Rosie and I know several other families were off to various mountain restaurants for their Christmas lunch. We spent the late-afternoon opening our presents and it was a cracking good afternoon and a brilliant Christmas Day! Stay tuned for more news tomorrow and hopefully the snow conditions will improve with a cold night. Fingers crossed and check out the photos!
