Much Colder!!!

It was much colder overnight and the snow has started to break up and improve. In some places even the plaque from a few days ago is starting to loosen up and become more skiable but the bottom line is the sooner it snows the better! I had a nice morning with Geoff and Inga in the Pays Desert where we had some excellent snow up high but the quality deteriorated as we skied lower, although we did make tracks top-to-bottom. (See photos) When we stopped to take off our ‘skins’ we found the remains of what looked like an old shell, which would have been between 10 and 15cm’s long and I must say it was a pretty weird place to be finding that sort of thing.

Chris and Thomas went off to ‘skin’ to the Col du Montet and they had a scenic outing with some good snow as well while Andreas is still not feeling on top form and Henry had the day off.

I took Helen and Steve for an off-piste adventure in the Cugnai this afternoon and they absolutely loved it and did really well. Bravo Helen for a great performance in a fairly intimidating environment!

Stay tuned!
