Today wasn’t the easiest morning I’ve had lately, especially for initiation.
I was skiing with Ham and his son Orson, Andrew and Johnnie Alpine this morning. It was Andrew and Orson’s first time off-piste and they did really well considering the conditions. Some people luck out on their first day and have 15 cm’s of light fresh snow in the Pays Desert to get them started. The boys had what we’ve got at the moment after almost four weeks since our last snowflake. Still, I thought they did really well and bravo boys! (see photos)
Ham didn’t struggle at all. He used to ski with Andreas back in the early nineties when Andreas first arrived in town. Ham worked with Mark Warner and knew Alex P and was telling me about skiing bumps with Andreas back in the day. I’m looking forward to skiing with them again on Thursday after my day off in Chambery tomorrow.
Fernando is playing again on Thursday night and may have someone accompanying him. I’ll keep you posted and don’t miss him if you’re in town. He’s a real character and I think he’s fantastic. And don’t forget Karen and Andreas on Friday.
Stay tuned!
