With each passing day our options are dwindling due to heat, tracks and some wind. Still, the boys are all doing a great job trying to make the most of it. And at least the sun is shining, which is always a great way to start the day! (see photos)
After yesterday’s news we’ve had people either making a mad dash for France or just resigning to the fact that their Christmas ski holiday is finished. The cancellations are rolling in now and every business in town will be affected. It’s bloody sad news business-wise and on a personal front I’m really going to miss see my girls! (And I’m not alone!)
Bravo however to all the mad dashers! John and Margaret returned home a couple of days ago but turned right around and came back. Jerry has made it after cancelling Martinique and the Farrer family have arrived and will be at the Danois tonight. Penny has arrived in the nick of time and so has Richard H. And I’m sure a few more will arrive in the next 24 hours.
Who knows if the French will backtrack in the next few days and the Brits will be able to start travelling again? Or if another ski season is in jeopardy? Time will tell but no one promises you tomorrow so rock on!
