The forecast was for grey skies and not too much sun getting through to warm up the frozen surface layer so we weren’t expecting too much, but it turned out to be a fantastic morning. It always helps when expectations are low but the visibility was excellent for most of the morning, the spring slopes softened beautifully and we even had a few ‘bonus’ powder turns. (See photos). All the boys were in action today and it was a surprisingly good morning with great satisfaction out of nowhere!
It clouded over during the afternoon and a few flakes are floating about so with any luck we might get a few centimetres of snow before morning. It would be nice to have a day of winter-snow options before turning back to the spring snow as we’ve at least two days of sunshine forecast.
Katie and I have some tidying up to do as well as organising Millie’s equipment so I’d better get at it. Stay tuned!
