Wow, what an outstanding morning!
For possible options Chris and I were thinking spring snow down low in the Sachette. Or the last of the powder on the Rosolin? We waited to test the snow off the Verte and what a pleasant surprise! The snow supported beautifully with a lovely soft texture and we knew it was ‘game on’.
After a great run on the meadows off the Verte we skied a brilliant run off the Borsat down to the Grand Pres. Then the Tour du Charvet via TJ’s Shoulder, which is now finished. (See photos) Next up was above the Mattis followed by a great run off the Laisinant Express. We followed that up with a funky Grand Vallon, what out on the steeps slopes towards Chez Henry. (We managed to make it all the way down!)
By this stage it was about noon and we needed a ‘last-minute-trick’ to finish the morning. We came around from the Signal and skied Katie’s Run with a fog drifting through. (It’s called Katie’s Run because I skied it with Katie when she was 8-years old) It was steep and atmospheric and like the rest of the morning, ‘clean’!
So much for the Motte or the Sachette!
Karen and Andreas will be playing tomorrow afternoon at Chez Jules (Coin des Amis). It’s an outdoor gig and the forecast is pretty good. Dress warm just in case and I look forward to seeing you there. It will be a great afternoon!
Stay tuned!
