Great Skiing!!!

What a hectic start to the day this morning! I’d just ordered my coffee when I realised that my phone was still charging at home. You never know when there will be a Covid Passport check so I rushed back home to fetch it. I arrived back at the Gourmandine with five minutes to spare and a little hot under the collar.

Today’s skiing however was fantastic. I thoroughly enjoyed it and although it’s tough out there our wonderful domain continues to deliver. (See photos)

I’m still in ‘code-mode’ and I must say that Simon was spot on with Saturday’s itineraries. Very impressive Simon!

All the boy’s were in action today and I did see Henry in the street. I’ll report on his exploits once he starts skiing again. Lots of people have been hit hard with cancellations due to Macron closing the border. Everyone is looking forward to more customers arriving in town but I must say we’ll miss the tranquility!

A five-year-old child was tragically killed in a piste collision in Flaine yesterday. Apparently the child was hit by a local man who was a pompier. I’m lost for words about how the parents must be feeling!

Stay tuned!

PS I had a brilliant afternoon with Anthony D. We haven’t skied together in 15 years and I was really impressed with his performance. In fact, Anthony hasn’t skied period in fifteen years. Welcome back Anthony!
