Yesterday was Pro’s Day at the golf club and 127 members took part. Unfortunately I’ve hung up my clubs until next year as I need to prepare for the upcoming ski season. My place in Millie’s 4-ball was taken by Francis, who turned out to be a solid player and great company, and along with Neil and Richard they had a good time in extremely tough conditions. It was cold and windy and not a very pleasant day for golf but everyone enjoyed themselves and made the most of it. I walked around and took a few photos and must say that I’m missing not playing already. (Golf is aggravating my hip now and affecting my knee so it’s time to stop after a brilliant summer of golf.) Don’t forget to check out the Photos of the Day.
Sylvie phoned the other day to say that she and Richard were planning on spending most of the winter in Val d’Isere. Richard can work remotely so they’ve decided to get out of the city and live in the mountains instead while hoping to be able to ski. They spent a good deal of the summer in Val as well and as we all know Val d’Isere is a special little corner of the world and an easy place to spend time in!
Who knows what the next couple of months will bring on the Corona-front but we can only hope for the best. Stay tuned more more news and photos soon!
