I cut a lonely figure at the Gourmandine this morning as I was the only one on the mountain and being Saturday it was extremely quiet. With options fairly limited I decided to take Connor and his Dad Ian (from Belfast) for a bit of a scenic tour with ambience and we ended up have a jolly good morning. Connor had ‘pin-binding-issues’ so we decided to abort our ‘skinning’ and skied a variation of the Cabine de la Garde followed by a Super L, Col Pers via the gorge and a Vallonnet to finish. With the spectacular views, the great slopes and the stunning blue sky it wasn’t too hard to take!
After the girls trip there is a lot of re-organising of bags in the cave and bed linen to deal with so my apartment looks like a bomb as hit it (but what else is new?) so I’ve a bit of tidying up to do. I’d like to go to the gym but I think I’ll relax and go tomorrow.
We could do with another top-up of snow, even 5 to 10cm’s would help but sun is forecast until at least Wednesday. Wish us luck and stay tuned!
