Last night’s gig was sensational! The Lunettes are absolutely brilliant and if you get a chance to see them don’t miss out.
They are all very talented musicians. Marc on drums is Spanish, as is Albert on guitar. Bassist and singer Fernando is from Brazil and together they make a great trio. They have a huge and varied play list and they have the Danois rocking every Thursday night.
I remember years ago when I first went to see the Killer Beez. Jim said, “Wayne, you’re in for a real treat”. It’s the same for The Lunettes. Don’t miss them! Everyone I drag into the Danois to see them sums it up the experience with a “Wow!”
As for today’s skiing we had another fun and adventurous day on the mountain. Chris, Thomas and I skied some ‘gravity-fed’ Val d’Isere ‘classics’. They are wonderful slopes but need to be skied now while there is still enough snow to exit lower down. (See photos) I’ll miss those wonderful itineraries when they’ve melted away!
Andreas went for a ‘skin’ on the last day of his week long private while Henry ‘skinned’ as well. I remain in ‘code-mode’ as only about 1% of the mountain is skiable. But within that 1% there is some jolly good skiing so I don’t want to give too much away. It’s sadly been the story of our season but we’ve had a great time anyway!
I’m off to the Danois in a few minutes for Karen and Andreas’s gig. I have an Alpine table book so it will be first come first served. We had a big Alpine turnout last night and I’m expecting more of the same tonight. See you there!
Stay tuned for more news and photos tomorrow!
PS And a big Happy Birthday to Adam F!
