Still Slow!!!

It was -11C in the village this morning and stayed chilly throughout the morning. After yesterday’s experience with the spring snow being slow to soften we decided to stay at lower altitudes. Theory being the lower the warmer.

Chris, Andreas and I headed towards the Sachette for winter snow up high followed by spring lower down. But even at those lower altitudes the snow remained a little firmer than I was planning for. The slopes we skied were ‘clean’, which makes a huge difference and it was still pretty good skiing.

The best snow of the day came in the paravalanche, which is about as low as you can go. By this time it was about noon and normally those slope would be too soft but today they were perfect.

Thomas was down the valley while Henry opted for winter snow on Solaise and the Fornet.

I watched the Liverpool v West Ham game yesterday and was really proud of the boys. They lost 1-nil but were magnificent in defeat and no one would have begrudged them a draw. They had their chances and had the desperate-for-a-win Liverpool fans sweating it out.

As Liverpool are my second team I’ll be hoping for United today. A City loss or draw would certainly spruce up the title race. But both Liverpool and City are so talented and fun to watch. And hopefully it will all come down to the last game of the season.

And a big Happy Birthday to Karen. Have a great day and many happy returns!!!

Stay tuned!

PS TJ should be arriving today?
