The Agony and the Ecstasy!!!

Talk about the agony and the ecstasy of sport! On one side you have the distraught Portuguese and England players, and their fans. On the other the ecstatic Moroccans and French.

It was an incredibly tense and close couple of games yesterday and I really feel for the losers. Poor Harry Kane will never forget his dreadful moment. A reliable and brave penalty taker who’s terrible miss has flooded social media with an array of Jonny Wilkinson jokes. Harry of all people didn’t deserve it to end like that!

And now for today’s skiing. It was cold and clear overnight and Radio Val reported -17c on the summit of Bellevarde. The snow was even drier than yesterday and the quality today was fantastic. In places where the snow has been protected from the wind it was as light as it gets. Rocks are still an issue so we must be careful and not get too excited, but the skiing is excellent.

It was Jean Marc’s last day today although he will be back for Christmas. Chris, Andreas and Pietro were all on the mountain this morning, while Thomas, Jerome and Henry were off.

There was a Men’s World Cup Race today but I don’t have a clue who won.

Thanks for a great meal and the game last night John. Brilliant hospitality as usual!

Stay tuned!
