Gill and I had a fantastic evening on Thursday eating truly exquisite pizza! My Canadian/golf/ski-pal Peter has been making his own pizza from scratch for over 30-years and he has it down to a seriously fine art. He makes his own dough and lets it sit for 24-hours resulting in a beautiful bread that cooks into and absolutely superb crusty base. Peter made 6 totally different pizzas to share so we could all savour the different pizza themes. His pizza oven gets so hot that a pizza cooks to perfection in one-minute or under. My golfing friend Paul (ex-club captain) and his wife Liz joined us and we enjoyed great food, wine and company. I must say that I’ve never eaten such perfect pizza in all my life and thanks very much to Peter and his lovely wife Lisa for a great evening.
And how do you follow up such a terrific night? With a clutch and stunning West Ham performance that pretty much guarantees Premiership survival. West Ham have been extremely good since their ambush of Chelsea and Hammer’s fans everywhere are rejoicing. I’ve been dressing Millie up in West Ham kit for luck and she’s turned out to be a cracking little mascot. Katie however, being a Liverpool fan wouldn’t be caught dead in any of my Hammer’s gear! But at least she’s been suitably sympathetic during this tense relegation battle.
Stay tuned for more news and photos soon.
PS I’ve had the planning printed so I’m officially ready for your bookings. Keep them coming!
