TJ arrived last night just in time for Chris’s birthday. He’s only here for a week but he’s timing was perfect arriving in time for Chris’s birthday pizza night. Being a big Flash Pizza fan I must say that Pizz’n Love pizzas are exceptionally good and I was very impressed!
I had a lovely morning with David and his daughter Amelia up in the Pays Desert. People have been trying their best to trash the mountain, but there is still some great skiing out there and we made the most of it. (see photos).
The birthday boy was also in the Pays Desert while Andreas headed to Terre Rouge. Thomas and Jerome were in action but I’m not too sure where they skied this morning.
We organised a new pair of Salomon 96’s with matching bindings and ‘skins’ for Chris’s 70th birthday present. He was totally surprised and very touched by the amount of people who have contributed. If anyone wants to contribute a few euros Louise has an envelope at the desk and your name will be added to the list of contributors.
Andreas is bringing the gear up in the morning and Chris should be skiing on his new equipment on Wednesday. He is extremely excited as I told him his new skis would make him feel ten years younger! Thanks very much to Thierry who has organised the equipment through Salomon.
It looks as if we’re in for another sunny day tomorrow. I wish all those ‘mountain trashers’ out there would brain-up and do their bit to make the snow last. It’s getting tougher every day and if we don’t get a little snow on Thursday it could be another ten days before it snows again. Fingers crossed and stay tuned!
