After a great day skiing last night we learned while visiting Ricki at Bananas that all bars and restaurants were to close and the resort would be closed in the morning. We ended up drinking a little too much as it was quite shocking news even though we knew it was coming at some stage, and today has been quite an emotional day as it dawns on people what a mess we are all in. So many people will be affected financially as these shutdowns take hold and although no one wants to get ill I think most people are more worried about how to get by and pay their bills. It is a very sad day for us all but now that we’ve been shut down we all need to concentrate on staying healthy.
Chris had Trevor and Dave arrive from Ireland so he took them on a ‘skin’, which turned out to be a pretty serious day out. They ‘skinned’ from the bottom of La Daille all the way to the top of the Borsat before traversing over towards the Cabin and they had brilliant spring snow all the way down. They didn’t get home until 3 o’clock so bravo Chris for going the extra mile or two to show your clients a good time! Total class my friend!!! (Chris will post some photos later.)
What’s really annoying is that Ste Foy was open today when we thought there had been a government shutdown nationwide. It would have been nice to be open today so we could have had a last day knowing it was our last day, and conditions today were quite stunning with clear blue skies with perfect spring snow waiting. It’s a very sad end to another great season and thank you all for your continued support. Have a great summer, good luck with your problems, and we look forward to seeing you all next season. Stay tuned!!!
