The entire resort is very tracked out so I took my team on an ‘optimistic’ outing and we ‘skinned’ up to the Col des Fours. I was hoping for the best but the Fours has been hit hard by the wind and we needed to ‘sniff’ around to find little gullies and patches that worked but it wasn’t the easiest, especially when there were some tired legs.
It was a great walk and the views are stunning from the Col and I thought the team made a pretty good job of it. (See photos) We then skied down through the path of the waterfall before ‘skinning’ to the second little Col and were rewarded with some better snow, which always helps when the going has been tough. Anyway, I thought it was a jolly good outing without many lifts or other people.
The rest of the boys were spread about and Andreas is still on-piste for the moment. The sun is forecast to shine for another week and the sun is strong enough now to start affecting the snow, which is another factor to deal with besides wind-damage and tracks.
I’m getting ready for the Guinea Pigs tonight at the Danois so see you there, and a big bonne anniversaire to Virginie!!! Stay tuned!
