I was expecting a brilliant day with fresh powder and bright blue skies and Chris and I headed up to the Fornet to make the most of it. Unfortunately it didn’t snow as much as anticipated but we had a good run in the Combe du 3300 to get started. The Pays Desert didn’t look as if it had taken much snow so we went over the Col Pers and down through the Grand Torsai for the first time all season. The snow through the middle section was excellent but we were surprised how warm and tricky the snow was lower down. The good news is that there is now just enough snow cover to get to the bottom so the Col Pers is now in play. Our plan was to then ski the Manchet and walk out but after experiencing the warm snow we bussed around for a Borsat Nord from the top followed by a little piste skiing to finish the morning. It was a pretty good skiing but not as easy as I thought while having breakfast with Pietro this morning.
And don’t forget that Andreas is playing at the Petit Danois at 5 tonight. Stay tuned for more news tomorrow as were are expecting some snow!
PS Andreas’ gig with Karen was brilliant. They gelled beautifully together and will be a fixture at the Petit Danois every Friday night. Bravo!
