With the lockdown in France finally easing Chris, Suzanne and Louise took a fabulous walk around the Monal yesterday. The views were wonderful and as the snow melts away the stunning spring flowers are in full bloom.
Val d’Isere in summer?
I’ve posted some photos of their day out and it’s a reminder of how wonderful our little corner of the world is. We all love our skiing but the walking in the area is world-class. A trip in the summer is always worth while, and in fact it is one of my favourite holiday destinations. The views are spectacular, the flower show evolves constantly into the autumn, and wildlife sightings always add to the occasion. And as an added bonus you always return home in better shape than when you arrived!
Our annual trip to Canada will almost definitely be cancelled and our trip to Croatia is hanging in the balance. Hopefully by mid-to-late-August the 14-day-quarantine period will be over so that Val d’Isere becomes an option. I’m already looking for to it because a couple of weeks in Val d’Isere is pretty hard to beat, whether it be winter or summer!
