It’s Millie’s 16th birthday today and I can’t believe that it has been sixteen years since Millie made her grand entrance into the world. I’ll get some photos and post them later today.
Wow, what a weekend that was!!! First up was Millie’s Prom on Friday night and she looked absolutely stunning (if I may say so myself) and she had a fabulous time. Then I played in the Men’s Championship for the first time with 18-holes on Saturday followed by another 18-holes on Sunday. Thirty-six holes of […]
Millie had her Prom tonight and she and her friends Lilly and Poppy were driven to school in Tink’s Vintage Riley. Tink is a life-long friend of Millie and Katie’s grandfather Fred and the girls looked brilliant in their beautiful dresses riding in such a stunning car. Thanks very much Tink! (See photos) I’m off […]
It was Katie’s District Sports Day today and she participated in the hurdles, 1500, high jump and 4×100 relay. (See photos) She did really well and participated in the most events on her team and it was a great day out. Bravo Kato! Millie wasn’t involved as her school year is over and it was […]
I had a nice surprise this morning when the girls took me into Godalming for a Father’s Day breakfast and the girls were on great form. I hope all you Dad’s out there are having a good day with your families! Derek’s family have arrived in California for Heather’s graduation from Stanford and they’ll be […]
Today’s photo’s that Derek sent are from around Lake Louise and the old Post Hotel and Morraine Lake, where Couloir 3/4 can be seen in the background. When I was a kid and skiing at Lake Louise every weekend those cabins were run down and you couldn’t imagine how Andre S would come in and […]
Yesterday’s torrential rain was so bad the organisers decided to send the D of E students home for the night as they were so wet and cold after spending the day in the rain and with thunderstorms forecast during the night enough was enough. Katie and her team were in surprisingly good spirits and I […]
Katie headed off this morning for her D of E walk with an appalling forecast ahead of her. Heavy rain is expected all-day and into the night as her team set off with their huge packs. I told her she’d ‘leave this morning a girl but come home a woman’ but she didn’t find any […]
Derek and Marcella are having a brilliant time in Canada. They’ve flown over to California for Heather’s graduation from Stanford and have taken the opportunity to do some serious exploring beforehand. They’ve enjoyed a jaw-dropping drive up the coast of Oregon to Portland before flying to Vancouver to start the Canadian leg of their trip. […]
The planning for the 2019-2020 season is now up and running with Richard Foster and his lovely daughter Francesca being the first ones in the books. If they weren’t skiing with me I’d offer them and early-bird discount! Stay tuned!
