My friend Francis arrives today from Argentina and it will be the first time I’ve seen him in about 36-years! He was my first friend in Val d’Isere and we met in Victoria Station in London and two days later ended up opening an illegal creperie together and sharing an apartment for two seasons. He’s a serious piece of work (and one of the most politically incorrect people I’ve ever met!)and just thinking of him brings back so many memories of such a long time ago.
As for today’s skiing Chris, Henry and I spent another morning skiing soufflé at the Fornet. There are some very impressive slopes out their and we did our best to make the most of this tricky time. Fortunately the visibility was better than expected and that always helps. (See photos)
After such a long time were are expecting some snow off-and-on this week and we should finally get some relief. Thanks to everyone who’s hung in there through this tough time, it’s very much appreciated!
I’m off to do some shopping and make a chili so I can entertain Francis and his daughter tonight. Stay tuned!
