What a day it turned out to be!
First of all the Calgary Flames came from 1-0 behind in the third period and scored three to win 3-1. That gives them a 3 games to two lead in their best-of-seven series. (Andreas was up early checking the score as well!)
Then I went to the accountant for some tax help. I was expecting a chaotic stressful mess but was so relieved with a very positive result. It was a huge weight off my shoulders and I was a new man when meeting Tchenko for coffee.
But the day got even better. Catherine put in a stunning performance and secured me an earlier rendezvous with the Prefecture. Instead of waiting until June 13th I now have an appointment May 23rd. Fingers crossed and thank you again Catherine.
I went from being totally stressed and anxious to feeling relaxed for the first time in ages. It was nice to be able to enjoy my stunning bike ride up to the Pont St Charles and two bends beyond. (See photos)
I’ve a Pilates class tonight then before enjoying a steak, salad, a glass of wine and Tottenham v Arsenal. What a day!
PS Chris posted some of his fantastic photos from the past couple of days!
PPS And asparagus. French asparagus is absolutely wonderful!
