What A Morning!!!

Everyone was in the mood this morning. After 12 days the foehn wind had dropped and we could feel the heat from the sun again. Plus we all knew that today would be the last sunny day for a while. Everyone wanted to make the most of it and all the teams had a fantastic morning. (see photos)

Chris, Henry and I all did a double ‘skin’ to the Crete du Genepy and Mont Roup. Because of the weather forecast we moved are starting time from 10 o’clock yesterday to 9:15 this morning. That worked well has we hit the spring snow just right all morning. We then finished off with an excellent Face du Charvet, which I’ve never ever skied it that late before.

Meanwhile Thomas went the ‘gravity-fed’ route. He skied the Epaule du Charvet twice, then the Face du Charvet followed by the Tour du Charvet to finish.

Andreas had an adventurous morning and skied a couloir in Tignes which drops onto the Tourne. It was a technical and steep boot up but they were rewarded with great skiing and ambiance. (It’s funny that we were eyeballing the same couloir yesterday from afar. I said it would be cool to get dropped on the top of it) Bravo Philip, Stuart and Andreas!

I’ve a Pilates class starting shortly so I’m done. Stay tuned and wish us luck for tomorrow!

PS I’ve come out of ‘code mode’ as it’s going to snow!
