We’ve had a wonderful weekend based around Millie’s 17th. Millie had some of her new school friends from Godalming College over for a party on Friday night and Katie joined in. Gill and I were banished from the house but they had a brilliant time and behaved really well. The first thing Katie said in the morning was, “I love Millie’s new friends!” With it being a ‘girls only’ party I was much happier leaving them all in the house on their own and Gill and I had a nice evening. I played nine-holes with some friends while Gill searched out Pro V 1’s and Callaway Chrome Softs before we headed into Guildford for a drinks party with her tennis friends.
In the afternoon Millie went out driving in her new car and I was treated to an explosive West Ham performance in a 4-nil win over Norwich City. We aren’t over the line yet but we are inching closer with some very positive performances.
Last night we went to Fred and Liz’s for a BBQ with the grandparents and Viv and Cliff. As usual the food was fantastic because Nana doesn’t do rubbish food and I took a magnum of Taittinger Champagne, which went down nicely.
Karen and Andreas played at the Coin yesterday afternoon and Tom F sent me a photo. They are playing fairly regularly now so if you’re in town keep and eye out for them. It’s mostly outdoor gigs on terraces so it’s weather-dependent.
I’ve posted a few photos that the girls took so check out the photo link.
Keep those booking coming in and stay tuned!
